College Football Pick'em Pool — Top Games or Your Conference

A college football Saturday has more games than any group can reasonably pick — dozens of FBS matchups plus a full FCS slate, from the noon kickoffs to the late games out West. Pick'em Builder narrows it to the games your group actually cares about: the week's top 16 matchups chosen for you, or every game in your conference.

Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12, or an FCS league like the Big Sky or the Ivy — run it straight up or against the spread, with scores updating live all Saturday long.

How a college football pick'em works here

  1. 1

    Pick your slate

Top games (the 16 best matchups, chosen automatically each week), a single conference, or a combined slate with the top 8 college and top 8 NFL games.

  2. 2

    Pick your scoring

Straight up or against the spread, with or without confidence points. Run the whole season with quarter standings, or one big Saturday.

  3. 3

    Share the link

Alumni groups, tailgate crews, booster clubs, and fan sites all join the same way: one link, a name and email, no app.

  4. 4

    Saturday takes care of itself

Each game locks at its own kickoff — the noon games lock at noon and the night games stay open until night. Scores update live, and a weekly recap goes out after the slate.

College football pool formats

Why a college pool needs a curated slate

A typical fall Saturday has more than 50 FBS games, plus the FCS schedule. A pool that makes everyone pick all of them turns into homework by October, and the standings end up rewarding whoever had time to research Sun Belt matchups on a Friday night.

A curated slate fixes that. The top-games option builds a 16-game list around the matchups that matter that week, so your group picks the games they'll actually watch. If your group would rather follow one league closely, a conference slate does the same job with a narrower focus.

Built for conference loyalists

The best college pool is often the one about your league. Alumni chapters, booster clubs, and fan communities want to pick their conference's games — the rivalries, the title race, the trap game in November — not a national slate.

Pick'em Builder supports every FBS and FCS conference, so a Big Sky, Ivy, or other FCS pool works the same way as a Big Ten or SEC pool: the right games load each week, picks lock at kickoff, and scores come in live.

Against the spread matters more in college

Spreads of 28 points or more are unusual in the NFL and routine in college football, especially early in the season. In a straight-up pool, those games are free points for everyone. Against the spread, they're some of the hardest picks on the board.

Lines move all week, so the pool freezes the opening line when the slate posts and grades every pick against that one number — pushes included. Everyone picks against the same spread, no matter when they submit.

What makes it easy

  • Two-minute setup

Pick a slate, pick a format, share the link. No schedule to type in, no spreads to copy.

  • The slate picks itself

Top games are chosen automatically each week; conference slates load your league's games. Tweak the top-games list if you want.

  • Reminders and recaps

Pick reminders go out before kickoff and a weekly recap follows the slate — plus a nudge for anyone who hasn't picked.

  • Live all Saturday

From noon to the late West Coast kickoffs, standings update as games go final.

  • Pick splits after kickoff

Once a game starts, everyone can see how the pool split. Great for the upset that only two people called.

  • Shareable standings

A standings card made for the group chat or your fan site's social feed.

We never touch the pot

Whether it's a tailgate crew with a $20 buy-in or a fan site running a free pool for its audience, the money stays with you. Collect any buy-in yourself by Venmo, Zelle, or cash, and pay the winners directly. Pick'em Builder shows your rules and who's paid; it never holds, moves, or takes a cut of any pot.

Pricing

Free for pools up to 10 players — every format, live scoring, full standings. Bigger group? Unlimited is $49/year (about $4 a month) or $5/month, for as many players and pools as you want. Players always join free.

Questions

Which games are on a college football pick'em slate?
By default, the week's 16 best matchups, chosen automatically. You can instead run a single conference's games, or a combined slate with the top 8 college and top 8 NFL games. The commissioner can tweak the top-games list any week.
Can we run a pool for just our conference?
Yes — any FBS or FCS conference. Pick it when you create the pool and that league's games load each week.
Are FCS games included?
Yes. FCS conferences like the Big Sky and the Ivy League are fully supported, so an FCS fan base can run a pool on its own games.
Can we combine college football and the NFL?
Yes. The combined slate takes the top 8 games from each, so one pool covers both Saturday and Sunday.
How do locks work with noon and night kickoffs?
Every game locks at its own kickoff. You can make all your picks Saturday morning, or wait on the night games until just before they start.
Can we pick college games against the spread?
Yes. The opening line is frozen when the slate posts, shown on each pick, and every pick is graded against it — pushes included.
Can a booster club or fan site run a big public pool?
Yes. Pools up to 10 players are free; Unlimited ($49/year or $5/month) removes the player cap and adds custom branding. Players always join free.
